Started today and weeks ahead, I will be uploading VHS videos I recorded from years past to shows all the good trains I saw years ago. The quality is not very good, but it will be of some great past trains I saw. I will also be adding each video to my Back To The Past Train Videos playlist.
So I start off with this video from April 2005 in Berea Ohio of an NS Norfolk Southern westbound freight lead by Conrail SD50 or 60 & Conrail SD40-2 trailing 2nd meeting a CSX eastbound freight lead by GCFX SD40-2, (which looks like an FURX), CP AC4400CW trailing 2nd and CSX YN3 SD60 trailing 3rd.

Tom, thanks for this video. The quality isn't the best but it's great to see Conrail. I used to see Conrail all the time when it ran on the old New York Central tracks on the west side of the Hudson before it was bought by NS and CSX. CSX took over those tracks and that was the end of Conrail in the area. Seeing Conrail running is like seeing a video of an old friend.

I'm glad I could bring all those good memories back for you. As to the information you give about the location you live, that is a big help. I believe the Intermodals I see here in Ohio, travel through there to get to New Jersey and New York City.

Tom, I live in Vero Beach, Florida now but I used to live in Poughkeepsie, NY, which is about halfway between New York City and Albany. I often worked on the west side of the Hudson at the oil terminals in the Newburgh/New Windsor area and watched Conrail and later CSX trains whenever possible. I ofter spent my lunch time trackside and usually saw at least one train. I believe you are right that the intermodal trains you see in Ohio go to the yard in Selkirk, NY and then down the Hudson to New York City and beyond.

Have you seen the FEC Natural Gas trains yet? I have seen photos and couple videos. I believe it goes as follow: ES44AC, tank car & then ES44AC.
