Most of us believe that you are never really done with your layout, and I think that about sums it up correctly. There seem to be always enhancements that you want to make. Our CIC side of the layout is complete. Not much more we can do to it other than if Depatment 56 comes out with more high rise buildings like the recent Singer Building. Then, I would chamge out another structure. For the Polar Express side, I want to add more lights to the trees in front of the layout. No big deal, just have to get to it when I feel better. So I would say we are 99.9% completed.
How about you?

I am about 70% done, for the last 5 years or so. That’s why I am looking for scenery material at YORK to do over the winter. But then again I might knock out a section and expand? I am always scheming....

60-70% been like that for like five years. I find upgrading engines fills my time these days. Just not into completing the layout.

It’s like trying to travel at light speed, you will never get to 100%.
I’m in no rush to finish. The tinkering, trying different things and, as I did recently, starting all over again because I had a better idea, are the things I love to do the most.
If I had to put a % on it I’d say I’m about 30% done. The trains can run and that’s all that matters. After all, it seems the real world infrastructure is never really done either.
It will never be finished!

10-15% is a guess. We are running trains, better all the time, but level two will be a big challenge, especially with the engine complex that has to be built. I have a hard time estimating % complete because so much time is required figuring out how to do things that are new to us. We don’t have a local source that we can invite over to pick his/their brain.
Challenging but fun.

Well to put a number on it I would have to say 85%. Only because I've been toying with the idea of adding a 4x5 table. My issue is where to put it and how much space I'm going to lose if I build it. It's already a tight squeeze and I can't climb under tables anymore. I haven't put it to paper yet so we'll see.

If you have a double decker layout can you count up to 200% ?

Lots of trees left to do. I am very surprised with myself for not really enjoying this part. I have been looking forward to foresting the layout for that PA forest feel, but I am actually finding it to feel more like a chore.
I would say that I am 85% finished.

Completed? I thought I was till about 2 months ago while visiting friends in Illinois. Driving through country roads I started thinking about grain elevators, Farm stores, and the roadside restaurants and country gas stations I remembered. Then started thinking about my layout and decreasing the town with more of the country scenes I remembered. So at present its on paper on what to sell off and what I will need and changes to some trackage. So in a way I'm 50/50 completed I would say.

5% if lucky. Have the wiring done for a switching area but need to wire the main lines. Then scenery, my favorite thing. Still a long way to go.

I do believe it never ends, new ideas always make me change things around, and I have no desire to make it end. Why would I want it to end? If you want a number 85%. One more major scene to finish and edges to fill in. So far, this has been a 12 year project so 15% is 21 more months. But, it won't end there.

I would say 1 to 2 percent done. I have been rethinking some of my plans. Also trying to convince my wife that it's a good idea to build into the next room. She's not buying it...
