Today I'm packing for York!
Stopping at the bandit meet on Wednesday, maybe a trip to Nick smith trains, the we are going to the LCCA get together at Smokey Bones and will toss a few back to discuss Why in the H*&* Lionel put the Banshee whistle in the latest J1a release?!!
Thursday group photo, Swap meet and who's knows where we are going to eat?
Friday is whistle cord pull on the 611 at Strasburg, than back to York by noon.
Saturday hit York in the morning, then we are going to Pittsburgh for the evening to enjoy the city sights.
This York I am looking for maybe the latest Santa Fe PA's with super Bass B units.
Some MTH Steam
And some 21 inch Great Northern passenger cars.
Any kits to build, and maybe a Lionel H10?
Hope to see you there. And what are you looking for?

We were all set to go until the hospital stay. Tests this week make it impossible to attend.
Hope all who go have a wonderful time. Emile has my shopping list. Cabs, cabs, and more cabs plus Mega-Stream Bayberry.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, but hopefully one of my forum friends can find an item for me. I'm looking for another Polar Express Streamliner passenger car. If anyone finds one I'll gladly reimburse them promptly + shipping. There used to be plenty at the LCCA area. Just message me on the forum and I'll send you a PayPal.

I started packing yesterday. We are leaving tomorrow. Wednesday we'll be setting up the booth in the Orange Hall then going to Strasburg. A friend that's going has never seen the train museum or the Choo Choo Barn. Then to the Amish buffet.
The only thing I dread is the drive from Michigan. Fortunately I'm not the one doing thd driving. There's a fancy DVD player and I can watch movies from the back seat.
I look forward to seeing every one be sure to stop by the TM video booth across from Harry Heike.

The only thing I dread is the drive from Michigan. Same here and I have to drive it solo. I will not be making it this go round but hoping to make the spring 2020 York trip.

I only live an hour north of York, so I don’t have to pack. I will be there with my WIFE on Thursday and we also will be attending the dinner at the Olive Garden. Friday I will be there with my General Public friend and Bro.
I am looking for scenery items in the members halls along with cars. Maybe a MTH 4-6-0 ten wheeler that I want to repaint, if I can get one cheap enough.

Expecting heavy rain Wednesday night/Thursday AM in New England. I plan on leaving around 5:30 AM Thursday to get to the fairgrounds in time for opening. So hopefully the weather won't be a factor. I'll have two engines for Harry to weather.

I did some recent damage on purchases this month, so York will more than likely be a social avenue for me this time -- except for perhaps a token-purchase of a rolling stock item or some scenic goodies at Scenic Express. Can't think of anything else I really "need", since I also have Lionel's NYC J3a and North Pole Shay on pre-order. And the way things are looking, they'll likely arrive at the same time!!! After that, no more pre-orders in the queue anymore for me. Better to wait and see what's delivered first these days. Meanwhile, I will be resurrecting an old tradition of mine later today, when I post my first "OGF Virtual York Bandit Meet" over in the Buy/Sell section of this great new forum. Haven't officially done one of those in a couple of years, because I've been opting to hold down some booth space at the Allentown/ATMA show in early November. And since I'm still quite focused on other family issues on the home front, fielding emails and getting shipping quotes out can sometimes be a challenge. But nonetheless, I thought I'd give it a shot. And since I'm heading out to York just for a day-trip on Friday, I'll gladly bring some items out as a convenience for those buyers who want to save on shipping (which also saves me the hassle of sending out a shipping quote too). It's a win/win for everybody!!! So stay tuned for my "OGF Virtual York Bandit Meet" thread. You never know which jewels might call your name. David

We're all packed and ready to go!! My Limo will pick us up around noon for our 3:30pm flight from San Diego and we arrive in Baltimore around 11:30pm tonight.
Our train week actually started this past Saturday chasing the Big Boy #4014 through the California desert all day. It was simply amazing, I never thought I'd see a Big Boy operate in person in my lifetime!
Wednesday we join members of the Northern Central High Railers round robin club for dinner. I miss being a part of all the fun layouts and trips we took before we moved.
Thursday through Saturday we'll be walking the aisles of the various halls full of trains and seeing all of our friends and hope we make some new ones too.
Saturday after the Halls close we head to Philly to visit with our daughter and then we all will attend the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Dallas Stars hockey game, LETS GO FLYERS!!!!!
Sunday morning after spending the night in Philly we drive up to the New Jersey Hi Railers club for a visit. After that we drive back to our hotel in Baltimore and relax watching the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys. FLY, EAGLES, FLY!!! Then we fly back home Monday morning.
I'm not sure what I'll buy at the Meet, if anything. We are putting funds towards the building of THE PENN AMERICAN RAILROAD at THE TRAIN PALACE of HIDDEN MEADOWS and all the benchwork I'll need. But then, I always leave the York Meet with something. I never bring a list because the Voices will tell me what to buy. The Voices, they understand, they counsel me and they talk to me about all the trains I need!

Well I really have nothing on a list. I am lacking the excitement I usually have but still am looking forward to getting away. Like David this will be more of a "getaway and social" trip. I always enjoy walking the halls and maybe finding something I didn't know I needed but for the most part nothing on the "list". Maybe if I see a N&W passenger add ons for a set I bought a couple of years ago. I will be at the Lionel booth discussing the recent paint issues for sure. I really need to know the Polar cars and BiPolar will match. Always enjoy the MTH booth. The DCS setup and demo they have is what Lionel should be doing for Legacy. If you see me say hi. I'm terrible with names so make sure your badge is visible. I will be watching for David's sale. I remember they always had some good deals! Safe trip everyone!

Early this year I was planning on going, but a commitment for a show and rehearsal is also same time this year. My plans were to pick-up another 2-8-0 and scenery items along with wagon top covered hopper cars.

I can't make it but I urge all who can attend to make it to the OGF dinner Thursday evening at the Olive Garden. My wife and I had a great time at the dinner in April. It's great to meet OGF members in person and spend a little time dining and socializing.
Also, try to make it to the OGF group photo in the Orange hall Friday at noon.
