How did you like it? Was it easy to work with? Does it curve easy.
Would it work with O36 and O42?

David, I used it once for a limited application and would not use it again. I am spoiled with Johnson Roadbed. I may have a source for this product if you want the best for tubular track.
Howe many straight pieces of track are you using?

Sorry Dave, I only used cork in the past. I personally was not impressed with their product when I looked at it. FLEXXBED is a far superior product in my opinion and that is what we will use when we build our layout. Check out Eric's Trains tutorial videos on it.
How well it would perform with tubular track I do not know. If PTC has a source for Johnson Roadbed that may be the way to go as it looks pretty good on his layout.

I love the Tubular Track look as it brings back memories for my father and I for Lionel Trains & Christmas. Plus your Polar Express themed layout is outstanding!!

It is too soft and spongy, allowing too much give to support the track evenly. Sectional track curves have a tendency to cup or crown when screwed to the roadbed without ample support between the two.
Great for winterizing those drafty doors and windows.

Howe many straight pieces of track are you using? I'm still planning out the layout but so far it will have about 48 straights but of course that could change. I'm also going to start building sometime after the new year. Dave

Dave, I will see what I can readily find for you. The sound control is excellent and it gives tubular tr rack the best look possible.

Had it on my last build and my current build. I installed it under Gargraves 042 and 054 curves. It does cup a bit on the inside of the curve. I sliced it in a few places and it layed down decently. My main loop is installed over 3/4" plywood. The noise is a liitle loud but being in a small cinder block room I don't believe I'll get away from that. The main reasons I went with it is price and availability.

I used it on my layout. In my application with plans to fully ballast everything it works fine for me.

I used the foam roadbed on my Pa. layout. It worked just fine. I used two-sided carpet tape to attach the roadbed to the styrofoam and for the track to the roadbed. It stayed secure for 15 years until I had to dismantle the layout for the move. On curves it does curl up but I used 1" brad nails to hold it down, just pushed into the roadbed and styrofoam base. The other option is that the Woodland Scenics Foam Roadbed has a split down the middle like cork roadbed does, if you want to lay it like cork. If you're going to ballast, it will cover up any imperfections.
Dave, are you using Super O track?? Is the new Layout replacing the HO layout? Or are you doing both scales? Where in your apartment will they be? Or did you move again?? So many questions!!
