Nice. That horn was loud, he also acknowledged you with two short blasts, cool. I wish I lived near some through tracks. Most everything around here is industrial sidings.

I understand what you mean by tracks. These tracks are a 20-25 minutes drive north of my house. CSX is also next to these by about 100+ feet. But yeah, I can understand what you mean about industrial sidings. It depends upon the location everyone lives. As to the horn salute, I actually know the engineer. They had a trainee being taught how to become an engineer so you can see the engineer I know his hand wave. The trainee blew the horn salute to me as the engineer I know told him to do that. So if the engineer I know was at the helm, he would of opened the window to wave big time!!

I see the engineer even gave a wave when he hit the two blast of the horn. I just saw that after I viewed it full screen. Pretty cool.

Thanks for the video, Tom. Mixed freight trains are my favorite. With the variety of different freight cars there is a lot to see.👍

I can see that, Tom. The engines are the stars of the show but the freight cars are very strong supporting actors. There wouldn't be much of a show without the freight cars. I enjoy seeing the different cars and how the train is organized. It gives me ideas for putting together mixed freights on my layout.
