"The kicker is that I went there to see if I could delete my account myself."
Tom, back in 2015, it took several letters to the majority owner to get my account deleted.

Actually my account is still there, but they deleted a couple posts about fixing my Lionel H12-16 locomotive. My bad...The kicker is that I went there to see if I could delete my account myself...lol. Tom I caused a post to be deleted over there because I didn't agree with the praise given to a member. Surprised my account wasn't closed also. Second time this happened but on another forum when same person was being praised and I disagreed. Post was closed but I wasn't kicked off.

I think I know why I was booted off. Someone started a thread about having a "off-topic" section. OGR said "NO". I wondered why they allowed a thread a while back with the title "My best friend died". Turns out it was a pet. No problem with 30+ member "sympathy" responses. Other off-topic things were OK, as well. I think they may be going harder on those who are NOT "supporting members" or digital members. Pay to Play, maybe?
I had no idea this group existed until I emailed Eddie (I had his email on file).

Joe, we are so happy to have you onboard. Also happy that you were able to find us through Eddie G, the youngest 90 year old member that I have ever met. What a joy to have you both as part of the OGF. In terms of not knowing about us before, the other guys go to great effort to block any reference that is made about the OGF. Their forum, their rules, but it sure tells a story. Not to worry though, CTT will soon publish an important reference to the OGF. This will be the first time that we will receive international exposure about our forum and, here's the good part, I bet there are several folks who belong to the other forum who read CTT. If they don't know about us now, they will in a very short space of time. This will be one time that the delete button won't work.

"Joe, my OGR account was deactivated a while back. I think they don't like guys named Joe."That's really funny, Country Joe. Combine the name Joe with membership in the OGF, and remember the line in the Music Man, "you got trouble in River City with a Capital T (or something like that").
