Charlie that is the perfect picture for today!
I have only been to 2 spring York events. I was amazed by the amount of people enjoying the hobby I love. I was shocked by the amount of merchandise available. Everyone was super friendly and had great advice. Meeting people from the forums was the highlight.

About now I’d be frantically finishing up the Orange hall before rushing to the purple. Grab a Brickers famous fries along the way

We would leave early on Tuesday, stop in Toledo for breakfast and then reach York just about supper time. Some Wednesday's were spent at Strasburg and others were adventures. We visited Baltimore, DC, saw the Yueng a ling brewery, Steam Town, Wednesday was our fun day. But of course it was the friends we got to meet and remember/ That has no price tag.

So today would be the second day of York. I would probably have made my 3rd full round through all the halls. From yesterday I probably would have returned to the deals/interested items and see if they are available. Maybe make an offer or snap them up based on want. At this time I usually have spent my saved budgeted monies and be looking to over extend myself!

Every time I saw John he had his arms full heading for the car. I always gave him the family rate on loans. Then his card shark daughters would win it back from me.

So just about now we would be realizing that we should have rented a bigger trailer for all our purchases in the past two days and thinking we don't really need our luggage since the car then could hold more trains!

When I first started going to York (1984)I would walk every hall and some twice the first day. Now being much older I get to a couple of halls in a day. I always do the orange hall first so if I go to the two day event I may get to a couple of more halls but spending more time talking to friends. My York's are no longer as frenetic as the early years but it is fun.

This is Al Zamorski's gorgeous model of Fillmore station.....from the Flower City modular group set up.
