Saturday was our club meeting. We had a service for our two deceased members. One of our members is a minister and conducted the service. All of us spoke about how we knew them including the son of one of them who talked about how his dad got into trains. We also talked about moving the layout since the property (which was owned by one of the deceased) to the new location which had been donated by another member. After which we ran trains.

Nice to recognize the members who have passed with a service. Ending the day with running trains is probably what they would have wanted.
Thanks for sharing, Denny.

What a wonderful way to remember those you have lost. I’m sure it will go along way toward helping the healing process.

A class act. Good for you and your club members to fondly remember your friends passings.

Denny, it's nice that you guys held a memorial service for these two members.
Have you already moved the layout to it's new home? Your club is fortunate to have a member who has the space to accommodate the layout and is willing to donate the space to the club.

No, they have to tear down a wall and move the furnace. We're thinking around December. I just hope the weather cooperates.

Nicely done Denny. I hope the renovations and the move go smoothly. Gary. Yeah me too. The last time we moved we did in one day. We had a flat bed truck and got all the modules on there. The fellow that provided the truck is also providing our new location.
