Brian, your buddy Harry did a good job. So this is an engine from 1970? Do you know what it was before the “face-lift?” 🤔

Brian, that is really cool. It's from the movie Unstoppable from 2009. Harry did a great job.

Thanks Joe. Would that be a GP40 then? 💁

Could someone please tell us what model diesel locomotive this beautiful conversion by Harry is? 🤔

Hey Vern, locomotive #1206 was "played" by W&LE #6353 and #6354. Both were EMDSD40-2's. Locos #777 and #767 were both borrowed from C.P. Rail and were GE AC4400CW's.
Gary.

Judging by the 2 radiator fans on the rear I'd say it's a GP 38

Thank you Gary and Phil. The reason I asked was because in the real-life incident Unstoppable is based on, the participating locomotives had 6-wheel trucks, or 12-wheel drive. In the movie, #1206 is a GP with 4-wheel trucks, 8-wheel drive. So I don't know if it's a GP38 or a GP40. No matter, was just curious. 😉
