I've watched this twice and enjoy it again and again. There was a time long ago, when stores would have window displays with trains and toys and crowds watching the trains, kids with wide eyes hoping Santa would bring them a Lionel or American Flyer. We would leave catalogs laying open on the table hoping Santa or our parents got a hint on what we wished for. Those were the days we counted down for Christmas Day. Memories, will always stay with us of those time, so enjoy. |

josef that is a great video takes me back to a childhood time when store windows and the toy departments had running train layouts of both Lionel and American Flyer trains.
in watching the videos and santa working on the trains it dawned on me I know what is wrong with the modern day Lionel QC issues the lack of Elf quality control!!
I like the modern era trains and all the bells and whistles but they do not have that magic of conventional trains of an era that did mesmerize all of us that grew up during that time.
thanks for posting the memories for us all to watch and drift to a more simpler time. I'm going to save this so I can watch it whenever I need to chill out.

THANK YOU JOSEF!! Great video. Christmas and trains mean the same today as they did many years ago. Maybe a little bit more today.

Too bad trains in the window display is largely a thing of the past. Kids these days only drool at the window of Apple stores.
