The Sunday Movie Matinee is a departure from the typical layout videos and a way to explore other Hobby related content. Some of these are longer, many, but not all are professionally done and frequently they show things You may not have considered.
This weeks recommendation for the Sunday Matinee is a promotional video for the Santa Fe Super Chief. It's called: "Santa Fe Railway The Super Chief”. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you will recommend your favorite Sunday Movie Matinee.

Shiki-shima Cruise Train
I saw this video the other day. I travel to Japan for work periodically but never heard of this. It's referred to as a train suite or cruise train. It's like a luxury hotel on wheels. It began operations in May 2017.

The Shiki-shima Cruise Train and the Rockymountaineer are definitely “Top 10” Trains to ride along with the European TRG and (What’s left of) the Orient Express. Amtrak California Surfliner is probably on that list also.

A few of the bi-level passenger cars in the Rockymountaineer video have a “porch” on one end. Has anybody produced an O Scale version of that? Emile

Emile EMILE, I tried to do a search and I couldn’t find anything with the open lower deck on one side. I guess MTH didn’t want to do a re tooling job? That would have been the cats meow if they would have done those. Maybe sometime?
