Here is an updated picture with the track lights installed. There are 12 light fixtures so far. There will be many MANY more added over time. - Jason Now we're talking!! Lighting is big. I only asked, but knew you would install something nice.

Jason,
I hope you don't mind me saying so, but I see elements of Rich Battista's Black Diamond Rwy and Norm Charbanneua's (sp?) layout in your track plan. Should make for a very satisfying RR. Plus LOTS of great opportunities for terrific photographs and videos!!!

Correct. I have no shame in saying the track plan is heavily inspired by Rich Battista's layout. My current layout is modeled after his as well. My engine facility is similar to Norm's in the way its laid out I suppose. Wasn't intentional. But I suppose it happened subconsciously after following his layout for so long. - Jason

Nice Jason! I am in a similar space as noted above, maybe a few months ahead. Drywalled and sprayed the ceiling late last year. Assembled the modular tables early this year and now crawling along due to summer activities. Good luck and look forward to updates or D3R event. Attachments:

Almost feels like I'm looking at my own basement! Nice job on finishing everything. Love seeing bench work go up for a new layout - Jason

Jason and Steve - you two have me wanting to tear my bar out to get more room in the traincave. The only draw back would be third time starting a layout build in 7ish years! My guess ... the wife would not be happy with the idea!

Whoa, Whoa... Whoa. What was that ?! Standard gauge? Was Mark Sarver at your house?

60% O gauge on two levels (working on adding second level now) including a nice 40% dedicated tinplate section of standard gauge with a loop around the exterior of the whole thing and all the wonderment of that era with the accessories. The power station will be on the second level due to space. Only thing left someday is a tinplate monorail. Yes, Mark will be made aware once we are fully functional. In the wiring phase still. Steve - There is so much Standard going around for such great prices... I am going to have to pick up a set! Then bring it over to your house for a spell!

Jason just keeps humming along with the basement. It won't be too long until I'll be running that GT train I have in mind in his basement!
