I had a question from one of our members so thought others might have it as well.
There is no cost whatsoever to join our Zoom sessions. It is now and always will be absolutely free for our members to join a Zoom meeting. This includes if we decide to do a virtual train show using Zoom where members show what we have for sale.
What we are using is the Free license with Zoom that limits us to 40 minutes per meeting. Often, however, Zoom grants meetings more time at no cost (they only grant this when the meeting is happening and is close to the 40 minute mark).
We might decide to buy a license if we think Zoom will play a bigger part in what we do. But, that would be a license for the HOST of the meeting (I have been hosting these sessions). In other words, OGF would buy the license. Attendees of meetings (everyone here is invited and would be an attendee) would still be absolutely free to join Zoom if we buy a license.
