Prewar Lionel Blue Streak Prewar Lionel O-Gauge Blue Comet Blue Comet "Biela" Observation car at the Clinton Station Diner in NJ Ex-Florida East Coast #148 pulling an excursion in December 1975. The train ran from Raritan, NJ to Bay Head, NJ and back, and was, to my knowledge, the last steam train to run on the Jersey Central. Dad and I watched it leave in the morning and went back to watch it return. 148 spent many years in NJ at the Whippany Railway and the Black River & Western. After decades of sitting idle and several attempts to restore it, 148 is now back in FL and was recently fully restored to operating condition by U.S. Sugar.

The Great Northern combo is sweet! Thanks! I bought the engine, it was a unpowered unit. I transferred a chassis from a MTH PS3 unit into it, along with all the lights. It is one of my favorites! Bruce, Nice Wabash locomotive! A great railroad scheme! Great buy! Tom

Another BLUE (actually more than one) I really like is on this K-Line "Apache Trail" boxcar, one of a small series of historic advertising cars issued 'way back when:
The photos don't quite do it justice.
Except in one respect; by peering at my own close-up photo, I see for the first time that the Apache Trail panel includes lettering in the bottom right that reads "BLT 10 99." That is not a sandwich price () but presumably the month and year these models were built. They date from a catalog issued at that time.

Here is my favorite blue car, a beautiful 1957 Oldsmobile Holiday Coupe that was painted and enhanced to factory colors by John White. Thanks Brian for your help; I really like this car.

That looks like the OBB: The Austrian Federal Railways (German: Österreichische Bundesbahnen). Although it is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, there is an OBB line that extends to Budapest, Hungary where it runs along the shores of the Danube River. While train dreams during the day are beautiful, it’s hard to beat the dreamlike presence of the Budapest Parliament building as seen from the Danube. You are close. Correct railroad but upriver of Koblenz on the Rhine in Germany. i will not forget Budapest. About 15 years ago. We were guests of Continental Insurance company and took a private train from Vienna to Budapest. A bus picked us up and we went downtown. On the way back we passed a place that my memory suddenly said, “This is where the uprising was quelled.” I asked the guide and she confirmed that was the place. Strange that an 8 year old kid could have been impressed enough to recognize a place he had never been 50+ years later. A wonderful part of the world to visit. We hope that we can go back.
