3RD RAIL LANDS ON THE FRONT PORCH!!! Gary. I second that as I have seen that Scott Mann is shipping the F3s now. I don't have a stake in this as I've decided nothing will top my TMCC AT&SF F3s but I'm certainly going to watch this space.
Do the Santa Fe versions have metal/plated panels? I can't remember how Scott was intending to deal with this.
P.S. Nice 3rdRail photo of the CB&Q production sample:

That’s 3rd Rail’s production sample photo of what appears to be a 3rail set (or at least it’s on 3rail track) and that does look like a scale coupler on the front; I can’t tell if it’s a Kadee, however. I don’t myself use them, especially on the lead unit of an A-A. For some years 3rd Rail has provided a closed pilot for its diesels and I use that option instead. I do have a set of 3rd Rail CB&Q E units from a while back. That has a closed pilot on the lead unit and a coil coupler on the rear facing one.
