Have you ever been working on something and then realize, " I need a soldering iron " or " I need my Dremel tool ". Now I need a plug and it's on the floor. Well one of our creative electricians at work came up with a solution. She originally made this as a gift for a bridal shower. I think this is a great idea for a quick outlet to finish that repair project. You might want to change the shade, but if you are like me, real-estate is at a premium. It's also wired with 14 gauge 3 conductor wire so it's safe.
What do you think ?

Very nice steam-punk style lamp. I have started to see more of these show up at "antique" shows. This one is very practical, but some can be very ornate.

I just googled "steam punk lamps". Seems to be a hot item these days. Plenty of good ideas.
What I would love is a lamp that has a train theme. Maybe with crossing lamps on it or something.

I think it's a great idea. It gives you light and an outlet. She is a very creative problem solver.
