I’m with you Joe. Last years Amherst was my first as well. Looks like there will be a gap until the next one.

There has been no official word from the EDTCA about canceling the Oct York meet. I am still on the fence about going , but not because of the corona virus. As to to a vaccine, it seems they are talking 2021 at the earliest. Some are saying that the vaccine will not be a one and done. They think it might be like the flu vaccine. A new one every year.

Highly unlikely I'll be attending York. And right on the heels of that "no-go" will be the disappointment of a less-than-likely November ATMA show in Allentown as well. 2020 is turning out to be quite the bust.

They are human testing a few vaccines so it's possible that one will be ready later this year in spite of what the "experts" are saying. This pandemic has shown that an awful lot of "experts" need laxatives because they are full of crap. They sound more like politicians than medical doctors and scientists.
I am hoping to attend the October 2021 York but don't have definite plans at this time.

I'm going if there is one. I think a lot of this has been an over-reaction. Believe me I take the deaths seriously; however they have made it worse by keeping everyone separated. It keeps mutating, if we would have not shut everything down the virus would be about gone right now with herd immunity being achieved. Right now I'm in the doghouse big time over a 10E set I purchased on Ebay. Now my wife is watching my Ebay account daily. If I am to buy trains I need to go to York. Scott Smith

It's in the trunk of the car. I replaced the 9V battery and it hasn't been on the track yet. I am trying to be low key since she found out about it. I was hoping the museum would be open by now so I could run it at the club.

As far as York goes I will Not be attending until a vaccine. I have not missed a York show until this past April since 1984 now it seems October will be the second in a row I miss.

I usually don't enter these kind of discussions, but I wanted to give some support to the Eastern Division leadership. I am reserved to the fact that October York might not occur. Eddie is correct. We are going to learn a lot in the next few weeks. If one assumes that no one in those mobs was actively sick (which could be a stretch), then we are looking at potential crowd spread of asymptomatic carriers (some people wore masks and others did not). The incidence of asymptomatic carriers is pretty low. Therefore, the next few weeks will be telling. However, I think we all need to be patient on the timing of a cancellation, if/when it occurs. Remember, the Eastern division is a nonprofit. There is a huge down payment for each York show that is nonrefundable. If the state cancels, then they are not responsible for it. So, I am not looking for an early cancellation. The ED leadership is going to use their heads. They are NOT going to promote something that is unsafe. However, if they can avoid losing the huge nonrefundable downpayment by waiting it out to announce a cancellation....good.....it's tough to be a nonprofit in times like this. In truth, when they cancel it has no bearing on whether we go or don't. It is whether we feel safe or not, even if things are vastly better by then. When or if it is cancelled is not going to really inconvenience us. Either we go or we don’t go........ and, if it doesn't happen I’m sure we can find lots of projects to do around the house for the time that we would have gone. This is also my opinion and I do not speak for the Eastern division. The disease is still out there. I'm very busy at work. This disease is nasty and when one goes downhill the kidneys are hit hard. This picture was taken Friday with my new visor. Be safe out there and have a great weekend, folks. Peter
