If the virus doesn't spread after all the thousands of people protesting in the streets all over the USA, it most likely won't spread at York in October. We will see in about another 14 or so days from now. What do you think?

I don't know anyone who is going until a vaccine is proven.
Sorry, not worth the chance to receive OR SPRED this virus.

I had lunch today with a Doctor who told me that conventional wisdom is that the earliest generally available vaccine is expected in March 2021. Perhaps in time for the Spring 2021 York Meet. Emile

Most of the York Meet attendees are in the "high risk" category. It would not be a good choice to chance it. Wait till there is a proven vaccine.

Even though I live less then an hour away, I’ll be staying away until we do have a vaccine.

One thing that's driving me nuts is all these fall events, Fairs, college fall semesters, and the like canceling months in advance when the so called experts who have been wrong most of the time by the way, don't know what's going to happen next week. We still have most of June, July, August, Sept, to decide on anything.

Guys and Gals yes this is a bad virus going around and people are getting sick and worse but, the news is making it worse there is just to much panic going on to much worry. Lets do the best we can and run trains and have fun running trains with friends and talking trains with friends.

I think the folks at the Eastern Division of the TCA will quickly figure out, no vaccine, no York Meet.

Even if this virus had not happened York was a no go for me. We had scheduled our kitchen to be remodeled, but that's not going to happen and even though I won't be spending money for York. Contractors here can't do interior work.

We agree... no vaccine, no go.
BUT,with any luck, speckled trout season will be kicking off and it should be spectacular. Last year our best day was 106 fish over 16”. We released almost all of them. The limit is 5 fish, minimum 15”. If someone wants a couple to eat, our rule is 17” minimum. There should be a large number of fish 22”+ this fall.
And there will still be plenty of train work to do.

Fall York a no go!? Rats, that is a major disappointment. But the thought of thousands of people touching trains and putting them back, some with questionable hygiene, and most coming in from all over the country, it is a major red flag. Coupled to the fact that there maybe limited amount of hotels and restaurants open? This maybe for the best.
I am really going to miss going to the curve, a possible visit to Pottsville, PA for some Yings, and was really looking forward to a visit to both the Strasburg RR and the EB&T RR.
But do not fret, we can have a virtual YORK right here on the forum! I have plenty of trains to sell, and I am always looking for something extra for the layout.
