Its been decades, time passes, oh so quickly. There was a time I remembered all those I served with. But time has a way that I forgot so many names. The slogan, "Remember" has a way over time that we forget be it the Alamo,Pearl Harbor, or those far off places that few can pronounce. I may forget names, but do remember faces and places.
There was a time in my life were there were still veterans of the Civil War, Spanish American War, WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam. They marched or rode each year at this time, but sadly as time passes there are no more left to march from many of these conflicts. Each year as I attend, I see less and less of my "Brothers". Lets take a moment out of our time Tomorrow, to remember those that gave their all, and those that gave up a part of their life to serve and protect our Freedom and no longer with us. To my "Brothers", we haven't forgotten.

Walter, those two videos are heart wrenching and heart warming at the same time. My Father and Cheryl's Grandfather served in the Canadian Military. Cheryl's Grandfather is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery in Ortona, Italy. He was part of the "Greatest Generation". For us, those who have given the ULTIMATE SACRAFICE are not just remembered a few days during the year....but every day. THANK YOU for your service Walter and THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE WHO SERVED and TO THOSE WHO SERVE NOW!!
YOU HAVE OUR UNDYING LOVE AND RESPECT,
Gary and Cheryl.

The Flag pictured below flies off of our home as does the Canadian Flag and the Flag of The United States Of America during the year. I am thankful there has been a resurgence of pride in Canada and pride in our National History despite the efforts of some of our elected officials who throughout the years have tried their best to diminish it! Gary.

Gary. My thanks for remembering those that haven't come home. Here's a clip from a movie that was very emotional for a very good reason. I remember seeing a soldier coming home after being MIA, and the family that were there to see him. It was hard for me to watch then, as it still is. It still is a powerful final.

Well said, Walter. Memorial Day is for our fallen soldiers. This seems to get lost among our young folks who enjoy the freedoms that our soldiers fought for, but ignore the cost.

Well said, Walter. Memorial Day is for our fallen soldiers... Exactly, Memorial Day is for those who died in uniform, Veteran's Day is for those who served but are no longer in uniform, Armed Forces Day is for those still in uniform.

I am forever thankful for those who sacrificed everything for our freedom and for our great country that we are so blessed to live in.
Thank you also to those who served alongside the fallen. I pray that God bless you and your families this Memorial Day.

Remember to lower the flag to half staff at sunrise for our war dead, then raise the flag to full staff at noon as a salute to our living veterans.

Never forget. My friend's dad was a sergeant in WWII he made it home and lived to be in his 90s. When he passed he was given a soldier's funeral. The day before he passed was was honored with a medal for his service to this country.
My best friend who also made it home from Vietnam suffered from what he went through and being exposed to Agent Orange. We rode motorcycles together and just sat on his porch and talked.
They made it home, but so many didn't fighting for our freedom. I NEVER take my life in America for granted.

My neighbor growing up fought in vietnam was shot many times and came home, today he has many issues from it. My dad fought and was able to come home but he had agent orange and that was part of why he just past away 6 months ago. I know this is the day we honor the fallen that never where able to come home.
