JDaddy posted a great video of N and W steam. Wow it was neat to watch. I was born in Bluefield, W Va and my Dad sold commercial insurance with a lot of coal mines as customers. Coal mines required railroads and it seemed like the N and W and Virginian were everywhere. JDaddy’s post prompted me to let everyone know about Herron Rail Videos. Herron has a large selection of excellent rail videos, including a series on the N and W. The videos are great sources of ideas for layouts, etc and are just plain fun to watch. You can find them at www.herronrail.com. Check them out.

Thanks Bill - I am going to check it out. We always can use some real trains on the tv while the club is running trains on the layout

Bill - I forgot to ask - do they have a booth at York in the Orange Hall?

These previews of the Herron series show truly extraordinary geographical as well as railroad coverage. Why, the first one linked by JDaddy above even has a very ugly Indiana Harbor Belt switcher at about 2:10 of the timeline. I’m sold!
