Last year I was doing some research on the East Broad Top Narrow Gauge Rail Road. A true historic steam sight that has been sitting and waiting to be revived. There were a lot of nay sayers saying it will never happen, however, they have the backing of a non profit organization that is already pumping life into the railroad via money and manpower. The EBT RR has already reported to have one of their 2-8-2's inspected and ready for water!
I think this will warrant a visit, if not this summer, but during our York trip in October!

great idea, These undertakings require a lot of money and special skill sets. Thus adding to the uphill climb. This is a great looking place, worth saving. Once a site like this is gone, it's gone forever...

One of the best preserved railroad sights of the early 1900's. Thanks goes to the families that have kept the railroad intact for future generations to enjoy. This will be huge effort for phase 3 and a lot of fun to visit. Now I just have to find a good Hotel in the area for a weekend

John,
Thanks for the heads up....please keep us up to date on what’s going on up there.
I was surprised to read that they have six mikados up there, two of which they are getting ready to run. I want to go up and take a train ride when it’s safe to do so.
