Awesome josef! When I was in first grade, our family car was a ‘55 Olds and my teacher had a ‘56 Ford that she’d obtained with Ford’s “A ‘56 for $56” financing plan, meaning a ‘56 Ford for $56 down and $56 a month, as you’d previously stated. Here's some better pics. Of course the giveaways.
Very nice, josef. As a first-grader in 1956, I remember having a Davey Crockett coon skin cap, toy rifle, and powder horn. But of course they’re long gone. 😔

Vern, those Greyhound Bus models are beautiful. We have one as well. Awesome! I think Corgi made only 1,000 of these. As I recall, Greyhound refurbished their Scenicuisers in 1961, with a better engine, a better air-conditioning system, new interiors, and the exterior gold Scotch Lite striping. Then they lasted into the late 1970s, which was rather amazing, since they were all manufactured by GM between 1956-60.

Nothing like a bus coming into town. Big, massive and the smell of Diesel. Had a paper route. Rode my bike 4 miles into town waiting for the Greyhound from Chicago at corner of Washington street and Dixie Highway. They would drop off the daily papers from Chicago, Sun Times, Chicago American, and the Chicago Tribune. We would then cut the bundles and take our papers for delivery. Lot of memories.

Interesting history and nice buses, josef. You made a long bike ride into town. I like your Greyhound “Silversides.” I think that’s an MTH bus that goes with their Greyhound bus station.

This Oldsmobile is particularly nice. The orange color is very unique. Ranks up there among my favorites.

You already know that I'm an Oldsmobile fan but the layout has many 40/50s cars. Nothing newer than that.

Does General Motors Coach Division count? I like Corgi's die cast vehicles and they did a great job of Greyhound's Scenicruiser from 1961. She's a BEAUTY Vern!! Gary.
