I have never watched the animated Clone Wars how is it? I've never seen the animated movies either and I'm also wondering if they were good. Maybe someone here will know and can fill us in.

I remember I didn't watch it when it came out, in fact didn't watch the first 2. Then I saw a cartoon in a magazine were a couple were sitting in a chair across from each other and one said to the other, "we must be the only one's to never having seen "Star Wars". I showed my wife and she said we should see what it was all about. Well, it wasn't in the theaters anymore and at that time VHS were still new and no tapes had been made for sale, but, I knew a friend that collected illegal copies of many movies and borrowed his Star War movies including the latest release. We were hooked from then on. But, the first 3 were the best. The next 3 were rushed into production with to much computer generated scenes. The last 3 made no sense in my opinion and were poorly written. Even though they brought the main characters back, much older, and seemed gimmicky. Only the original 3 stand up still with "The Empire Strikes Back" as the best.

I saw the original in the theater in 1977 and I was blown away by it.
