Andy that looks like one of Dennis’s platforms. You better hide that red pickup truck. Old man C T Balsam will have a Christmas tree in it before you know it. He owns Long Island.
Brian like the engine. How goes the layout? Any progress on the Train Palace?

Andy's load is good, but a Christms Tree would be better. CT does "own" Long Island.

A late addition to the thread. Still haven't got the knack of this close-up/macro thing but here's some black I have not posted here before: the Lionel TMCC AC-12 Cab Forward (pre-Daylight version)with the fabled #4294 numbering:

Lots of beautiful black trains, guys!! Thank you all for sharing. Here's my favorite black. The Lionel TMCC Penn Central "Black Jack" GG1. Love the PC GG1. That one is on my “need to get” list! Tom

Good eye Bill, that is indeed a platform from Dennis Brennan. You guys have it backwards, Long Island owns CT Balsam! 😁

Wood that is a beautiful engine even if it is Santa Fe. Paula said, “It is black week so why don’t you put some pictures of the train cabinet. You never have.” The train cabinet is a former gun case that now has shelves of older engines, etc 027 and O going back as far as the early 50’s. There are about 70 and all but 3-4 ran fine when I went thru them... over ten years ago. Most have not been out since then. So here’s to the black of yesteryear.

It wouldn’t take all of them. Had 5 more and tried to insert here. Won’t load. Missed the old Js.

Brian like the engine. How goes the layout? Any progress on the Train Palace? Bill, like everything else, it's on hold. But I will be building something in my living room so I can run trains and test engines to be ready when The Palace is built!

Can't forget about this little fella. This Scout adorns my office with its locomotive presence. It runs OK, but is better as a display piece.

Since WOOD took the liberty of adding some glossy red to his black I thought I'd do as near as likewise as I can: Legacy AC-12 #4275 in the fantasy Daylight scheme.
