What I see in the videos by Pennsy 484 is a very nice layout. I realize that sound is a big thing today on model railroads but to me it is distracting. I guess I'm just old. I do like the whistle/horn and bell sound on locos. I also do not care for smoke. Thank you! That is one of the nice things about the remote control, I often turn all the sounds off, plus I use smoke for a few minutes and shut it off. The sound of the trains without the sound systems is so soothing to me!

I may or may not pick up one at York depending on the price and if I find one.

Here is a video of the new PS-1 SP rail sounds boxcar... the GN was painted the wrong color and had the wrong doors, so I sent it back.

Jdaddy, thanks for posting the video. Finally I was able to hear that the new ps1 box cars have the came sound set as the reefers. At least on older versions I was under the impression it only did random bangs, and squeels and not the synchronized rail clanking. Is that not the case?

Yes, the older ones just did the random bumps, squeals and bangs. I like having them both, lots of variation.

Yes, I agree; I can see that it would sound good having the different type of freightsounds cars in a consist. I hope the up coming wheel-flat-spot car sounds good too! If so, that would be a good one to throw into the mix as well.
