i've been studying wabtec's hydrogen locomotive since last year and it quickly became my favorite engine. its so bizarre looking
how likely is wabtec gonna change the design before the demonstrator rolls out in 2026 or 2027? and that day feels ages away all i know is i am aching to see this thing on the rails
and that cab has my mind reeling trying to imagine the inside
i'm writing a story called Allegheny City Stories where a young journalist named Dakoda Dale meets a famous female engineer named Fenix Starr and there's a scene where Fenix takes Dakoda for a cab ride in a wabtec hydrogen locomotive during a rain storm and its a sureal experience . the controls are back to being desktop style with all sorts of computer screens looking more like a space ship than a locomotive. the entire cab top is made from tinted safety glass etc as seen through the eyes of my character Dakoda
but i wanna know what you guys think? is it even a cab at all? it looks vastly different from a typical GE cab
