If you recall, my Lionel NYC Hudson J3a refused to move in TMCC but worked fine in Conventional operation. The issue was caused by not having the throttle on my MTH Z1000 Transformer turned up to at least 50%. I was afraid of applying to much voltage to this expensive engine, but as a test I slowly increased throttle/voltage until it moved when using the Legacy Cab-2. The next mystery was figuring out how to get it and my other TMCC Loco to move in reverse. Turns out you have to press the "Boost" button on the Cab-2. Go figure. Now this is a conventionally wired layout, with only one ground from the 990 Legacy base to a common ground on one lock on. Works like a charm. Next up is trying to get Conventional, DCS and TMCC all working at the same time or at least while not having to disconnect and reconnect anything. Would like the freedom to run all my trains. Stay tuned.
