A very fine combination but I am biased; I’ve always thought that the Lionel AC-12 cab forward is some of the best tooling they have ever produced. Years ago I looked into whether these cab forwards ever did passenger service and found one record of WWII west coast troop transport duty evidenced by the main photo below:
