I just got done putting all the Christmas lights outside and making sure they light up. I'm not actually going to light them until after Thanksgiving. I may have to do some minor adjustments, but I'm satisfied with were they are.
Today was a good day for it temps are very pleasant. I didn't have to wear a jacket.

Smart to get ahead of it while the weather allows. I am hoping to get to it next weekend.

I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving to put them up. Too many yard items. So far I'm not sure of my holiday spirit yet. I'm hoping as we get closer my heart will "grow 3 times as big".
Glad you got a chance to get them up. Christmas lights are always a favorite.

This is my setup annually. But like MartyE I won't do anything until after Thanksgiving. Attachments:

This is my setup annually. But like MartyE I won't do anything until after Thanksgiving. Impressive. I’ll start next weekend. Takes me a couple of weekends to put everything up and I don’t turn them on until Dec 1st. I have a growing blowmold collection and like my trains, I’m running out of room for them.

Denny, putting the outdoor Christmas lights outside is a great idea!

Very nice but I won't do roofs. If I can't get to it from a step ladder I won't do it. LOL! I have this system. I can't take credit for it as I saw another guy do this. I installed those beefy garage hooks on the facia and painted them white to match. They stay installed year-round. Then I assembled white PVC to match the size of each peak. I do not glue the PVC unions so I can disassemble and store neatly. The press fit is good enough. I zip tied the Christmas light string to the PVC. Then I have this long extendable poll and I just lift the PVC as an upside-down V into place. Center hook first. Then the two middle support hooks, then the outside hooks. I don't have any pictures of this process. If I think about it, I'll take pictures and video this year if anyone is interested. This was my inspiration.

Good for you Denny. I was set to do the same on Saturday; however, I ran out of day and courage. It was pleasant, but I would have had to worn a jacket. It's a new house, and I have to figure out how to make the arrangement. At the old house, I used a short ladder to put them up under the porch along the house. Now, I will use gutter clips to make the outline - I don't like the gutter clips, but they will have to work this year - and the tall ladder to boot. Alfred

That's cool, I thought you hired one of those fly by night Christmas Light installers. They are on your roof line way to perfect.
