My layout is MTH ScaleTrax. That product is out of production and some pieces are hard to find. I have been looking for a #6 turnout (new or used) for quite some time with not a lot of luck. I was thinking of buying an Atlas 3R 7.5 turnout, but the $125 price tag caused me to pause. I found an Atlas 2R 7.5 turnout for $25. It was used but with the exception of three broken ties, it was in really good shape. I decided to try and modify the Atlas 2R track to work on my 3R layout. Here is how I did it.

Big Supporter of Scale Trax. Yes it is the most realistic. I talked with Rich Foster and he says it is on the table to bring back Scale Trax. I actually believe Mike Wolf is the hod out for it. Funny how he was for it and dropped the ball as they never progressed with different configurations of track switches and track itself. I ended up going with Atlas 21st Century and while nice and looks closer than any other track my biggest complaint was and is Lack of availability along with the clips working loose over time. That creates a nightmare looking for it unless you finally figure it is a clip. It will show voltage but when an engine moves over it it will lose all amperage.
