I have several engines and rolling stock that I only have one of. You seem to be the exception so far. But then you always considered yourself as being exceptional didn't you?

Lets see, I have 2 of every engine I own in standard gauge except 9E, and that is because of the cost of a Orange 9E Original. That and really don't want anymore standard gauge as they take up so much room LOL.
Seeing I don't have much in O/O27 anymore I have a lot of single items, But understand where your coming from, in the 800 series and 2800 series prewar ( 820 - 811 ) at one time I had 10 of each type of car. ( a mixture of the two series ) With that said, let state this, if I found a Black 400E at a reasonable price it would find it's way home to me. Well it's not Black but it is a MTH remake of the Blue Comet 400E. I bought it this morning. Should have it Tuesday the 12th, so 8 days. Super slow shipping from CA.

I have several engines and rolling stock that I only have one of. Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat (or display case, as it were!). In fact, probably most are singlets, though I know I do have several Marx 1829s (both smoking and non-smoking), and a few 333s and 666s in various configurations. I'm by no means a "collector", but rather someone who buys trains that are of interest to me, and I have little interest in just filling the shelves (or track, for that matter) with multiple clones, preferring instead to pursue the next "shiny object".
