I received yesterday from Pats Trains 3 RMT Wheeling & Lake Erie boxcars. All I can say is WOW, hard to believe that you can purchase these boxcars for $30 each. I had a MTH scale Wheeling & Lake Erie boxcar so did a side by side comparison. The colors are identical, there is some variation in the graphics. The black RMT comes in 2 versions of the graphics. Not sure which one is closer to the real deal, could not find an actual photo of the real deal. The under carriage of the RMT boxcar has more detail than the MTH version. No issues with the couplers or trucks on the RMT boxcars but I run 072 or larger curves and switches, don't know how they would track on smaller layouts.
Bottom line, 3 RMT scale boxcars $90, 1 MTH boxcar $70.
