The three photos above are from 1954. I was 11 years old. This was my first attempt at learning how to put all the pieces together. 1943 Another WAR baby AKA GI Issue I wonder if there are any others here born during the war besides you and me ? And some prewar trains in the pictures. Do you still have them. I was given several prewar trains in the late 40s I still have mine. "Any other here born during the war"? Does being born 4/10/45 in basement during the bombing of Rechlin by a B24 Bombing group. My mother along with my Grandmother gave birth. They excavated my mom, grandmother, and me the next day from the rubble of what was left of the house. Does that count as being born during and in a war?

Thank you for the comments. My photo was taken in 2015 by a professional photographer. Yes, I do look older now. The pandemic aged me tremendously. Yes, I think I still have everything seen in the photos. I have started downsizing and have started posting things on Craig's List Boston MetroWest. I will post individual items and lots here when I am better organized in case anyone is interested it what I have. I will now attempt to post my next batch of photos - from 1955. Aparently my grandmother saw I had taken a serious interest in creating my own train display and started giving me more items from her attic. Many other items were given to my aunts and uncles, but over time many ended up in my care as noone else had any interest in this train passion. So I guess I was twelve when I did this much expanded layout. The two major additions were the Zoo and the Log Cabin Homestead.

Barry: Welcome to the best O Gauge model railroad forum around. In years of posting not a single one of my posts was ever censured or removed. This alone makes OGF the most friendly O gauge model railroad forum as well. Your pictures and story are nice and I believe most here appreciate them. Have a great day.
