Don't temp me any more than I already am. In a perfect world, I'd have snagged this Halloween Triplex model by now. But we all have our limits. I chose the F-19 Halloween locomotive, which should have been here by now. But we all know they've been delayed. And I'm THIS close to purchasing the METCA Halloween A5. So these two locomotives COMBINED are less expensive than the Halloween Triplex.

Dave Yes, another excellent video/photo essay, although I am not in the least tempted by the Halloween version of the Triplex. In fact I do not have any Halloween train stuff apart from an unbuilt haunted house kit from my days experimenting with HO!

The Halloween stuff is growing on me.

Except for the glow in the dark feature and somber tender all the Halloween Triplex is is big and black with some orange thrown in to make it qualify for Halloween. And Dave, stick by your previous post that you really had to be into Halloween to shell out $2,249-$2,449 for a Halloween Triplex. The F-19 Halloween version seems much more fearsome looking to me with a spookier tender. You will be much better served with an A5 and F-19 or a Halloween Camelback from a few years ago. For further perspective there is the Lionel Pacific 4-6-2 Halloween Pacific with the added element of orange wheels rather than white walls and fearsome pumpkin faces on the sand dome. The tender is suitably creepier. All in all a superior Halloween paint scheme to the Triplex IMO.

It would be groovy to have the Munsters theme song in your Halloween loco…

Lot's of nice trains running that night. The Christmas trains are also fun to watch, Edit: I don't think the Triplex was meant to be scary. It is colorful and large.
