Hi All no power 29 September till 4 October. No internet still or cable. Internet is hit and miss on my phone. Usually in AM till 9 AM and after 10 PM at night. I'm shocked I have it now. We are supposed to have it Wednesday.

Good to hear from you and to hear that you are safe. No internet isnt necessarily a bad thing.

Hi all. We lost power 27 Sept about 7 a.m. we got it back on October 4th mid day. I got internet back this evening about 7 P.M. The only problem I had was trying to get my printer to work with my android phone. I had two eBay sales I need to get out.

Well that lasted for 5 days, then they took cable and internet back down, so from about 9 a.m. 21 Oct till 11 a.m. today we were down again, and my wife is a whiner and a half when she doesn't have tv 24/7. Train wise not much going on here. got some homemade signals in that I wone about 2 weeks ago, not sellers fault, thank-you U.S.P.S.

I was on a plane headed back to Asheville, on Sat 10/05. A fellow on the flight, said Hickory , not back on till, Late p.m. of the 4th. and some on Sat 10/05, The flight going to Knoxville just before our departure, was totally packed, as the flight coming back to A'ville, had only 31 passengers. Tourism is really gonna take a hit!!!

We feel blessed, compared to Asheville which is only about 60 miles away. I can’t even imagine what you guys went through in those areas the storm hit. Thank God you’re ok. When I saw the destruction it caused my first thought was ‘What did those people do to deserve that!’ Just awful.

Never in my wildest dream did we thought a hurricane could travel almost 600 miles across land and still be a category 1 hurricane, tropical storm ( weak one ) yes.
