So, just for comparison - the Lionel Phantom, the ‘I, Robot’ movie transporter and Wabtec’s autonomous switcher. If the Wabtec switcher is the future, I wonder if the hobby will become a nostalgia-modeling pastime only? 😜 Dave    |

I think it’s interesting but I have no interest in modeling a robot railroad. You just need some imagination -- for instance, you could use a modem connection recording for "crew talk"! Or "I'll be bahk!" from "Terminator" for announcing a return leg . . .
