Glenn, Depends on the product you want painted. Tells us more of what you would like done. I'm looking to start with a GP-9. Have a lionel legacy unit and the decals. My intent is to make it into a Seminole Gulf RR unit, which is a fairly straight forward paint with some decal work. Others could follow.

Give it a try and do it yourself. If you don't like it, strip it and do it again. I get better with everyone I do. Started about 5 years ago with an inexpensive battery powered airbrush. Now I have an inexpensive Harbor Freight Model with a compressor. Someday I'll get an expensive airbrush, but I'm happy with my results. I went from this...  to this...  |
