Thanks for the Welcome. A little background. I started with MCP trains in the 70s and 80s, but got back into the Hobby when my sons were born in 2000. I collect Lionel, MTH, K-Line and Atlas. I started with using DCS and TMCC / Legacy. Most of my trains are command controlled. My layout uses LCS to control switches and power along with a manual switch board. I do have a base3 and figuring that one out the its new feature. My layout started as a as several 4X8s and expended to take most of my unfinished part of the basement. At one time I had a separate Kids layout (4x8) but TrainDiesel convinced me to move it to the layout to make it better and the kids would get over it. The kids were old enough to run on the big layout anyways. One of my sons is pretty active with the trains and runs with the National Capital Trackers. Now the Layout is a 8x32 with a large switching yard.
