We have had this engine at Corner Field Model Railroad Museum for quite a few years. I don't run it very much because it is rare to find now days. Probably some have never seen this engine before. There also has never been video of this before on YouTube until now. This is the MTH Virginian W-1 Electric. It came out back in 2004. This unit measures 26 inches in length. Also because it's diecast metal, it is very heavy to pick up which also as you can see in the video below, it has great pulling power because of this.

It's also a monster. I think that 3rd Rail also made a version of this. I don't have either but I do have an MTH Great Northern W-1 electric that is huge. It lacks operating pantographs and I don't find the sound sets of electrics (including Little Joes and GG-1s) very interesting but I have always been intrigued by its background story. A prototype W-1 (only two were built) was eventually sold to UP and used as the basis for their #80 coal turbine unit I have just posted about on another Corner Field thread. When in service with GN I understand they were mainly used on a stretch of electrified line that crossed the Cascade Mountains, a region I have been to and in which my Mrs. enjoyed off-road driving (in a Toyota Corolla):

Yes these engines WERE BIG! As far as the MTH versions, I was never a fan. I think it was only because of the sounds were just not unique, and the quality of the sound was just not there. But very fun to see run. Enjoy!

But very fun to see run. Enjoy! I don't mind the sound in this electric. MTH hasn't used that horn since this and the Bi-Polar's. I just like this engine because of how big it is and Virginian is my favorite past time railroad.
