Just wondering if anyone has heard if they will be reissued at some point. I'd imagine the graphics would have to be redone with the new CPKC branding. I used to have the RailKing set, but had to sell it to free up funds. I know one of the more generic holiday sets with lights has been reissued, so am hoping the CPKC will be as well.

Maybe one day, it would be nice especially with the CPKC.

If they do, I wish they would release it as a Premiere train, not Railking

The train may already have left the station as EZ Catch and Union Station announced the redo in late Spring/eary Summer. I ordered a set. The add on stage car was not included but would be a nice addition at some point.
Still not Premier as MTH has not yet jumped on the upscale Holiday bandwagon.

This is the Southern Pacific version - I have six cars (they might have issued a couple more) and would not part with them. The CP version doesn't have the same appeal to me but I would very much like to see a reissue of all of these:
I imagine part of the problem is the LEDs, which are extremely delicate and I have to take great care taking these cars out of and putting them back in their boxes. The LEDs are also the reason I don't have the version of the 4449 engine MTH issued at the same time - their spacing seemed to me to be all wrong compared to the real thing:

There is yet a third and fourth version in green/red paint streamlined, and a Polar express knock off color scheme North Pole with Madison and/or streamlined cars both with the micro LEDs. I bought those two sets at different times. When the CP version was announced by Union Station/EZ Catch I must have been suseptable.

I own both the railking and Premier versions that MTH put out. Premier cars are bigger.

Having just completed a project using those same MTH LED strings (from their replacement parts supply), I can confirm that they are in fact delicate, and the spacing between the lights is a scale two feet (and the bulbs roughly four inches in scale diameter) and so not a perfect match to the prototype, but nonetheless I found the strings to be surprisingly durable and easy to work with. My suggestion is to *not* box your LED-festooned rolling stock when not in use, but rather store it on a display shelf or case.
