Imagine my surprise when I just got a phone call saying I won a few minutes ago. I never win. Two weeks ago the Township man at our convenience center came up to me and wanted to talk with me. Since I use to be the Zoning and Code Enforcement officer I figured it was something in that line. Nope, he wanted to offer me the chance to buy tickets for a HUGE basket of Phillies Swag and a ticket to the Game between Philly and the Mets. I bought two at $25 a pop because I wanted to support the cause of the organization selling the tickets. Well got the the call tonight that I won. (hold on phone ringing again. Probably to tell me wrong person - sorry) (NOPE - person who sold me tickets called to say thank you.) Anyhow, three things came to my mind. I don't win, My son -in-law is a HUGE Mets fan (and leading my grandson down a terrible road of rooting for the Mets instead of Pop Pop's area team the Phillies), and besides me not really being into sports a name kept popping up in my wee little brain. TRAINDIESEL! I chuckled when I told my wife. Needless to say , I am truly sorry Traindiesel but my wife wants to go so no swag or tickets for you. LOL Anyhow how about that I won. Wish it was a train! Oh well I am still happy and so is my conductor (head scenery person).

Good for you! I, too, never win these raffles, but it’s fun to try and support good causes doing so.
Go Red Sox!

Well, Curtis, it’s nice to be thought of. Even if it’s to tell me ‘no’. However, I’ve been to several Phillies games this season already, three here in San Diego, one up in Anaheim, four games in Phoenix and one in Philly back in April. And two games the Padres beat the Mets last week. I also have almost as much Phillies swag as I do trains.
Hopefully, if I can make it to the York Meet and the Phightin’ Phils get to League Championship Series, I may get tickets for one of those games if it’s in Philly. And/or a Flyers game.
It’s a shame you don’t enjoy the sport, but that’s ok. My real concern are your terrible parenting skills allowing your daughter to marry a Mets fan! That’s as bad as a Dallas Cowboys fan.
But congrats on your win. Take them any way you can get them!

Over the 31 days of August, I've submitted my entry to win $10,000, from a Drawing hosted by Dave Ramsey of Financial Peace University. I don't usually win anything either, but a guy starts dreaming what he'd do with 10 Grand 💰

As Tom Petty sang, 'even losers (in this case lotteries/drawings) get lucky sometime'. Congratulations on being a winner.

Congratulations, I'm in the same boat of never winning anything Congratulations I’ve won so much stuff over the last year. Everyday I get an e-mail telling me I’ve won another cordless drill or expensive cooler. I even won an all expenses paid trip to Cancun but can’t go since I don’t have a passport. My garage is so full of all the stuff I’ve won there’s no more room. Anyone want the million dollars I won from a Nigerian prince.

Congratulations on winning the contest, Curtis. Both my wife and I have occasionally won a contest. Winning is fun. Enjoy the game and the time with your family.
