Have you noticed that some traditional favorites have started showing up as O scale versions Christmas, Halloween, AEC, and now a toe in the water try with a few Looney Toon Boxcars. Is this a trend or a dead end?
Are there any traditional items/sets that you would like to see done in O scale? Lionel is obviously asking someone. It may as well be you.

I think that 3 Rail O gaugers, being toy train guys at heart, will enjoy and buy fantasy, special interest and holiday trains in their preferred size, so I see this trend as being here to stay.

I think this trend is moving in both directions. I’ve definitely moved away from “traditional” offerings into the scale offerings for the past 15-20 years However in more recent years, the scale offerings are expanding to include fantasy “what-if” versions with whimsical paint schemes on scale models, like the Train Loft and METCA custom runs from Lionel, MTH and Atlas-O.
