OK, first off this is not a Fiddler on the Roof thread unless the thread get's hijacked!
This is a companion thread of sorts to the Lionel Vol.2 2024 catalog thread.
We all know or should know what we can't buy or choose not to buy for whatever reason.
For a moment throw caution to the wind and forget about cost, or worth, quality (or lack of it in some cases).
If money was either no object, or less of a consideration what would you preorder out of Vol 2* including custom runs?
*Feel free to include items from the recent Atlas Summer 2024 catalog as well.

Nothing, no NYC, NO B&A, No New England anything. Not a GG1 fan, I have plenty of N&W steam already, I don't do Diesels, and as always Lionel rolling stock is never a must have. Now this would be a neat thread when ever there's a new catalog. Hope you plan to do it the future.

Nice, a dreambig thread. Always fun to fantasize.
If money were no object (and that is a hard requirement for this list) I would want the following.
1. A bigger layout with wider curves. The rest of the list makes no sense without this.
2. The new Lionel Base command control system (I have DCS today)
3. One or more of the Y6Bs
4. One or more of the SW1s
5. The SantaFe Mountain
6. One or more of the 0-6-0 (I enjoy switchers)
Any of course some passenger/freight cars to go with them.
But, back to reality, funds are not matching the interest. I am happy with what I have and the secondary market for the occasional purchase.

To be honest there's nothing in the catalogs that peak my interest. That being said, My big Daydream Beliver is, for Lionel to break down and finish the Bush Funeral Train consist.
Having all the cars and missing the Portola sleeper and 2066 Generator car is like having a black eye.
But, with me scratching building these two cars, I will eventually have them. Probably about the time Lionel decides to produce them.
