Myself and a few others have some questions on the installation of Blunami,
Can you use it on:
AC motors (pulmore motors) DC motors (Can motors) Cost of Blunami Cost of installation Can you double head Blunami locomotives
What should we know about Blunami? Is it better than other command systems? Is it cost effective? Who does Blunami upgrades?
Dave

Myself and a few others have some questions on the installation of Blunami, Can you use it on: AC motors (pulmore motors) Heck noDC motors (Can motors) the Blunami will need a full wave bridge rectifier to work off your AC track powerCost of Blunami Check online, others will chime inCost of installation All you baby unless you know someone near by that will do it for youCan you double head Blunami locomotives Good question, I would guess yes but others will have to chime in.What should we know about Blunami? Is it better than other command systems? Is it cost effective? BLU-4408 goes for around 210. I'll let you be the judgeWho does Blunami upgrades? Dave

Myself and a few others have some questions on the installation of Blunami, Can you use it on: AC motors (pulmore motors) No experience here. But you would have to convert the electricity from DC coming out of the board to AC to the motor. Not sure that is worth the effort .
DC motors (Can motors) Yes
Cost of Blunami $205 for the 4408, which is ideal for O gauge. May be able to get it cheaper from some places having a sale or discount code.
Cost of installation Not aware of who does professional installs. It's not as hard as upgrading PS3. The board is labeled and has screw terminals
Can you double head Blunami locomotives IOS Yes Android is coming. I'm a beta tester for it now.
What should we know about Blunami? A DC system that requires conversion of power from AC track power to the board somewhere in the loco. You can also power your track with DC, but your other locos would not like it. Battery power known as dead rail is fun and takes all of the guesswork and conversion out and you can run on the same tracks with all locos. Is it better than other command systems? I think the sound and operation are superior to the other traditional O gauge systems.
Is it cost effective? Depends on what you measure. Board to board with DCS. About the same. Against other systems, maybe not. But you also have to consider transformer power, installs, controllers, etc. The math can get fuzzy.
Who does Blunami upgrades? Unaware of pros. But I'm willing to help you and provide direction if you want to try. PM me and we can talk about it.
Dave Answers above. Also take a look at BluRail the first generation of Blunami. It uses the Blunami app and will run on AC track power. No sound. You have to buy a separate sound board. Ron

Legacy engines can run in a DC powered layout and MTH DCS as well.

Times are changing. I'm pretty sure I won't be investing in this, but I'm glad it's here.
