It's not to early to start thinking about doing a Halloween layout this year. My plans are to have 2 layouts this year. A small one and a big one. Last year I went big and used my G scale train. It turned out awesome. One of my favs. It is going to be hard to top but I am going to try. Anyone else have plans for a Halloween layout? What trains will be used? If it isn't a secret, tell us some of your plans.

I don’t have any plans for a Halloween “Layout” on my setup. If I did, it’d just be a few ceramic Halloween buildings and some bits and pieces.

For those new members or those who may have missed it last year, who may be interested in what I did last year for Halloween and then Christmas experimenting with unconventional temporary benchwork consider browsing my 'Have we Liftoff?' thread/video from last year. I am still mulling this year.
However this much I know, I am eliminating the realistic small town. The narrative just did not add that much to the Halloween/Christmas story line. Now all the structures and figures will be Lemax Spookytown.
Having a 14'X12' island put too many of the Lemax structures too far away from spectators to fully appreciate the detail in the figures and structures. It also made the wiring as I went along as respects setting correct sound volume a real crap shoot. Also if something malfunctioned I could not reach it. Watch the video to understand.
Between the sounds of Lemax and the Halloween trains it was just too noisy. I have to solve these issues.
However one thing is certain, Lemax Spookytown items have begun to hit Michaels and I am buying!

I'm not likely to do a special layout for Halloween, but I will enhance my regular layout with some Halloween buildings and decorations. Looking forward to seeing what others do.
Emile usual has a fun window layout for the local kids big and small to enjoy.

Lemax Spookytown items started arriving at Michaels now. Don't wait too long as most of their exclusives sell out then show up you know where!

For those doing halloween layouts I came across some interesting products at Costco today. $90.

I did an inventory to make sure everything is where I can find it so I don't get aggravated looking for it.

Unfortunately my seasonal layout plans have been derailed as I try to regain control of my unimproved storage area filled with thousands of vinyl LPs. Hopefully next year.

I've decided to start putting Halloween stuff on my layout. I have one last think to do before I take any pictures.
