Well, Christmas in July at least. Thats right, the new tradition is in full swing. Christmas movies are showing on the Hallmark Channel. And only 6 months until the next Christmas, so start getting ready! Here is a good way to get into the spirit. Visit our friends at www.thevillagecollector.com and enjoy their Christmas in July content. Attachments:

My contribution to Christmas in July is nothing as fine as the TVC site but it is in the same vein of holiday merriment. I talked myself into getting a Menards "Lamont Lanes" bowling alley, one of their line of animated lighting O gauge structures, for the purpose of displaying it with my Griswold Family Christmas/National Lampoon tabletop set that goes up every year for the benefit of my now grown-up children. They love the Chevy Chase film as much as Home Alone or The Christmas Chronicles:

Adam, No snow here; it was 102 degrees in Baltimore today. I have been busy and have not been able to respond lately to all of the good OGF posts. Alfred

When this thread was originally posted in July, I did not have anything to say about a Christmas layout. Now in August I do. When I re-outfitted a 4’ x 4’ table that I built, for a Brio train set up spacefor my granddaughter, I included HO track around the perimeter, and also a completely elevated O27 ‘oval’ (on the tallest Lionel 110 trestle set piers. My wife advises that it is too busy / crowded because of the O27 track. So..., I am taking down the elevated track and piers. And…, I am going to mount it on a small plywood frame, which will be painted white, and use it separately from the track platform I usually use under the Christmas tree. I will keep it under the 4’ x 4’ play table so that it can be used anytime. Alfred
