I know these are toys, not necessarily models, but is that lettering font on the FP-9 crazy large? Maybe it's just me...

Well thats the 4th railroad for that type of loco. Santa Fe red, Santa Fe blue, Union Pacific, and now the Pennsy, time for a tooling change. GP-7 for the Ohio Central or Monon would be cool.

These F units seem like high end entry level locomotives at a great price. And if you get one how could you not add the matching freight consist? This grouping might be my Grandson’s start in O gauge!
I’m guessing, and it’s just a guess, is that the next paint scheme for the F unit would be New York Central.

A smaller font were used on the F units but some of the E units had a much larger font. But the units do look good. Least they got the shade of Tuscan red right. Something Lionel is still trying to do!! Dave

It is a good looking F unit. The Pennsylvania script is oversize but I don't think it will prevent the diesel from being a sell out.
