Would like to hear from any user's, having used or currently using.
Tips & tricks found learned.
Bought 2 looking them over could be included in the construction of the new layout. Seems like the perfect time to add block detection. That said any comments about the Dwarf DZ-1011 signal is of interest. Thanks

Bought 2 looking them over could be included in the construction of the new layout. Seems like the perfect time to add block detection. That said any comments about the Dwarf DZ-1011 signal is of interest. Thanks I have them and use them. I had to buy four for a double track mainline. My challenge was track spacing. I space my tracks 4" from center rail to center rail. Plenty of room for the trains to pass. The problem is I place the DZ's near a curve. They also activate a crossing signal. So the overhang from some cars hits them. Let me know if you need any pics or video. It's been so long, I can't remember how they are wired. But I recall following the instructions and being pleased with the results. vr Ron

Good deal, it is going to be simple, 2 tk mail line & cross over block monitoring. The DZ-1011 & a turnout/switch upgraded with the nonderailing feature? That is going to be some action. Wiring not a problem, these little fellows are as close to plug & play as it gets. Block control systems that require a laptop or any such device, admin duties, wiring?
It is more interesting topside.. Thanks

Do they use an infra red activator? If so, is it integrated within the unit? are they compatible with Fastrack

I have 2 sets to activate ROW overhead signals. They work great. The only thing I had to do with them is put a small piece of wood under the signals to lift them to see the body of the car and not just the wheels. Marty

Are saying you are using the DZ-1011 to operate the ROW overhead signals? Is it wired, overhead signal, GREEN bulb to the RED wire DZ-1011 . Then RED bulb, to the WHITE wire DZ-1011 with diode?

So true about passenger cars taking out my dwarf signals. 21" car corners love to take them out. Had to move them several times.

No need for a diode, just connect it to the power. As Marty stated, I had to put a couple pieces of wood underneath. I used ice cream sticks.
