I got this car a few months ago and while taking it out of the box to add it to a train of other 2 bay covered hoppers I dropped it onto the table, reached for it and tipped it to where it hit another table, reached for it again and dropped it on the floor where my clumsy feet stepped on it and as I was trying to get out of the way I stepped on it again. As my total failure of opening box ended in this disaster I took a look to look at the damage I caused. All the wheels came off, there was numerous scratches on the sides and tops, the corner steps were broken, brake wheel missing and a big shoe print when I stepped on it!! In another words it was a mess and I guess it was not going to be added to the 2 bay consist. So I decided to add it to the other 2 bay hoppers but it will have been in a accident. Loaded onto a flat car with some cribbing with some weathering to the car and now I have a new car for my freight fleet. As some say I made lemonade out of a lemon!! Btw I have added more weathering to give the car a more beat up look! Dave

Btw I have added more weathering to give the car a more beat up look! So . . . drop-kicking your rolling stock across the room and then stepping on it is your secret weathering tip? 🤯

I like to use a hockey stick myself. Just slap around a few times should do the trick.

I like to put it on the cover to the bed of my pick-up truck, and see how long it can stay up there before falling off, I've gotten to 45 mph trying for 60 mph

Did you mash it into the ground with a twist of your foot as well and then give it a good stomp?

Reminds me of my favorite parts of Marvel movies.

Add a track wreck to your layout and take credit when everyone admires how realistic it looks wreck wise.

[Methinks there seems to be more than a bit of barely suppressed aggression toward some of the objects of our hobby, huh? ]

First thought I had was the same as runamuck, create a derailment on the layout. I like your idea even better as it takes NO REAL-ESTATE!

Add a track wreck to your layout and take credit when everyone admires how realistic it looks wreck wise. Well, there *are* those times I look at the layout and think, "What a train wreak!"
