Received my Lionel Copper Range 2-8-0 Consolidation from Pat's Trains. (A Great Guy!) A great looking and running engine. Pat did a special run of a short line that ran in the UP in Michigan. The roof could have been a touch redder - I still like it. One thing - sure it applies to all new engines - LUBE the gear box! Bone Dry. Attached a couple of pics.

Nice , 2-8-0 is the only class steamer I do not have, maybe someday. How does it run in sound?

Gary - Runs great - after a little break-in. There is a choice of 5 whistles and 5 bells. I preferred what would be the 3rd ? whistle choice and 2nd bell choice. Using the initial factory settings as 1. Sounds / volume seem to be louder then some of the more recent engines. Does have 2 speakers in an enclosure. Saw this when I took the tender apart to remove coil / claw coupler, and install a Kadee.

looks great George. A really nice engine to run with your custom painted cars.
